 I have been fascinated with the American Civil War for as long as I can remember. Some of the pieces here were created for clients, others were created for my personal collection.

In November of 1862, in the border state of Missouri, a detachment of soldiers from the 9th Minnesota Regiment attempted to assist an enslaved African-American family’s bid for freedom, which was considered an illegal act.
